Seven of our choristers accompanied Côr Meibion Glyn Nedd on their recent trip to Scotland to perform at a special concert in aid of the late William Pollock "Bill" McLaren CBE Foundation. Bill was the "Voice of Rugby" and renowned throughout the sport, his enthusiasm and a memorable turn of phrase endeared him to many. The concert was held in Bill's home town of Hawick in front of an appreciating audience in a packed town hall.

Following on from Hawick the Seven choristers were asked to accompany them at their annual concert held in Glyn Neath Town Hall (17th September) obviously everyone's thoughts were with the families and friends of the four Miners who had recently lost their lives in the Gleision Colliery Tragedy. All the proceeds of the evening were being donated to the Swansea Valley Miners Appeal Fund.

Donations are being co-ordinated by Neath MP Peter Hain's office.
