ABERHONDDU & DISTRICT MALE CHOIR
Founded 1937
Becoming a member of the Choir is not difficult. You do not need to have any formal musical training and there is no audition. Just enthusiasm for singing and the ability to be in tune is all that is required. Men do not just sing in the shower! So why not come along and give us a try one practice night on a Thursday evening at Brynich Barn, Brecon from 7.00pm.
It is quite simple:
- Sit in with existing choristers where you feel comfortable (Tenor or Bass sections)
- Listen and sing along where you can
- Move if your first choice is not suited
- If the experience inspires you – stay, and work towards your first concert in your own time.
Our choir in Brecon offers many opportunities for you to perform at varied events across Wales and beyond. Most of our bookings are community based and do include weddings, but we also sing at large venues such as the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. We also perform abroad from time to time, combining our singing, as we do at home, with cultural and social activities.
Interested? Come and experience a practice night. You will be warmly welcomed.
