Known as CÔR MEIBION ABERHONDDU or even Brecon Male Choir, we are a small choir of some 40 voices drawn from the rolling hills and valleys in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. We are the Voices of the Beacons.
Formed in 1937, the choir has performed in a range of venues in front of audiences across the world – from local chapels to the Royal Albert Hall, Denmark to the USA.
‘The hills are alive with the Sound of Music’ and in the heart of the Brecon Beacons Côr Meibion Aberhonddu strives to keep it alive. The tradition of male voice singing is at the heart of Welsh culture which we are keen to protect and promote. To the members it is an enjoyable and challenging experience, which only a few get the opportunity to experience in their lives.
